The Maine Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame recently inducted its class of 2025. New inductees include:
Byron and Susan Delano were founding investors in Mt. Jefferson Ski Area.
Rick Hardy coached boys’ and girls’ high school teams to a collective 19 high school state championships.
Peter Gately coached skiing and taught at Bridgton Academy for 39 years, leading to the creation of the Maine Association of Independent School Athletic Directors League.
Jeff Knight dedicated 50 years of service to directingand improving Black Mountain of Maine, in Rumford.
Laurel Lashar was an influential leader of Sugarloaf ’s racing operations and the Maine Alpine Racing Association.
Cathy Witherspoon has held numerous leadership roles at Sunday River and Boyne Resorts.
Butch Reilly was a founding member of the New England Sports Representatives, and an early supporter of what would become the Carrabassett Valley Academy.
Matt Sabasteanski has served as recreation director at Pineland Farms for more than two decades.
Carl Theriault is a founding member of the Fort Kent Outdoor Center and the former Maine Winter Sports Center.
