On the Cover
Earl Newman, known for designing posters for the Monterey Jazz Festival and the United States Surfing Championships, emphasized the athletic grace of a slalom racer in his 1960s poster for Aspen. The nearly monochromatic color palette has the racer disappearing into the course.
