Taylor Middleton - Big Sky Executive

Taylor Middleton, longtime Big Sky Resort executive, died February 20 at his home in Big Sky. He was 68.

After graduating from the University of Alabama in 1979, Middleton worked the front desk at Big Sky’s Huntley Lodge. He rose through sales and marketing to became general manager in 1998, then served as president and CEO until 2024.

Middleton supervised construction of 22 lifts, two hotels and the integration of Moonlight Basin and Spanish Peaks, positioning Big Sky as a year-round destination.
