| The function of this site is to introduce three endeavors, International Skiing History Association, I.S.H.A., it’s quarterly journal Skiing Heritage, and the associated Beekley Collections of International Skiing Art and Literature.
This site is also designed as a research resource for amateur and professional historians as well as ski journalists and to educate the general public on the history of the sport. Further, it is designed to link directly to worthwhile skiing websites of all kinds and to provide valuable sources of information on skiing in general. Lastly, it aims to serve as an information resource for veteran skiers.
I.S.H.A. currently cannot answer research questions but it will contiuually add to and upgrade this website. In the future, with increased membership, it will be able to fill research requests.
The Beekley Collections are currently private and cannot be viewed or used for research. Eventually, these collections will become part of I.S.H.A. and with increased membership be open to qualified researchers and members.
