Mountain Publishing has produced four ski books, all by award-winning writer and ski journalist Karen D. Lorentz who is a recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award (2006) from ISHA and author of three other Vermont books.

Killington, A Story of Mountains and Men, by Karen D. Lorentz, 1990 and 2009. The recently updated and expanded limited edition Killington hardcover is available through the Vermont Ski Museum, Killington Resort shops, bookstores in Vermont, or from the author. The 8.5 x 11 illustrated history features 344 pages, 40 in color, and over 200 photographs and illustrations. ISBN 0-9625369-3-8.

Okemo, All Come Home by Karen D. Lorentz,1996; an illustrated history with 200 illustrations and photographs; 32 pages in full color; 256 pages; hardcover 8.5 x 11 coffee table edition available in limited supply. The Great Vermont Ski Chase, The Definitive Guide to Vermont Skiing by Karen D. Lorentz, 2005; 320 pages, black and white photographs and ski area maps, softcover; received Honorable Mention award in 2006 Harold Hirsch Book Competition sponsored by NASJA (North American Snowsports Journalists Association). Book describes ski areas from trails to apres-ski activities and includes short histories of each area. The only current guide to all Vermont areas (includes a current update to 2009).
